Wildflower Wedding Inspiration: Saturated Summer Color Palette

THE VISION
If you love color and are planning a summer wedding, look no further for floral inspiration! Every color of summer was packed into this farm wedding. The design concept for Danette + Chris was “Saturated Summer”. We designed florals dripping with color, using a variety of local, seasonal blooms and native greenery and herbs. The flower forward designs celebrated the diversity of flowers growing right in New Hampshire and complemented the gorgeous farm venue, Stonewall Farm. Every detail of this colorful summer wedding illustrated the warm personalities of Danette and Chris and the fun, festive tone they wanted to create for their guests.
For the color palette, we chose a sophisticated rainbow composed of cherry, magenta, mulberry, lilac, royal purple, cornflower blue, azure, fern, soft sage, mustard, apricot, mango, honey, and porcelain. Danette preferred many flower varieties of different sizes and colors, so we chose an eclectic mix of wildflowers to create her vision.
THE WEDDING PARTY
Danette’s bridesmaids carried petite posies of wildflowers and wore mismatched dresses within a forest green color palette. Chris’s groomsmen looked sharp in grey suits with mismatched ties to compliment the ladies.
THE CEREMONY
The wedding ceremony took place in a garden setting at Stonewall Farm, overlooking the fields. Danette and Chris stood under a lush, colorful arbor dripping with summer blooms. The arch was framed by two asymmetrical floral pops composed of bright focal flowers. Light trailing greenery created a natural connection between the two focal points, creating an upwards garden effect. Bright blossoms and native greens drenched the arch in vibrant, saturated color. As the newlyweds walked down the aisle their guests showered them in stunning dried wildflower blooms.
THE RECEPTION
In addition to gorgeous ground and mountain vistas, Stonewall Farm has a truly breathtaking barn for wedding receptions. Natural lighting spills from the many windows and warm, exposed wood creates a sense of coziness. Danette and Chris celebrated the beauty of the space by decorating it with cafe lighting and bud vases on every table.
THE DETAILS
Colorful details were found everywhere, from the welcome arrangement to the cake table. Even mother nature participated by providing a gorgeous colorful rainbow!

“We could not be more thrilled about our experience with Afterall Floral. They listened very carefully to our idea and implemented it perfectly, also adding very thoughtful suggestions which really added to the style of our wedding, even when it was to their financial disadvantage (for example, suggesting we source gorgeous wildflower confetti through an Etsy store they found which was a perfect complement to our fresh flower theme, even though they made no money from that transaction and probably even lost money since they were not sourcing the flowers). Ultimately, the bouquets, custom hairpieces, table arrangements, and arbor were all exactly what we dreamed of in terms of style, and even more than we expected in terms of volume and impact. Everything was stunning and of great value. Angela and Demelza were also wonderful and easy to work with. There is literally nothing I would change and nothing more I could have asked of them. All the stars!”
